Still Diwali No School Open The News From Education Minister

All schools in Gujarat are currently closed due to the Koro epidemic. However, the schools have been under consideration for some time now. But in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rupani today, it has been decided not to open schools for Std 9 to 12 in Gujarat after September 21.

According to the decision, the Indian government had asked the states to make a decision in the Unlock-4 guideline. Whose SOP has just been announced. After the cabinet meeting, state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama announced that schools would not be opened in the state arbitrarily.

As per the guidelines of the center, there is a provision for the child to go to school in Std. 9th to 12th with the permission of the parent. Which the state government will not implement. The decision will be taken only after the situation is right.

Two days ago there was a discussion about when to start schools

When the state government met two days ago to discuss the new education policy, it discussed when schools should start. After the meeting, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said it was not yet decided whether to keep schools closed till Diwali. The government will decide this week how to call and call students for guidance only at the school from the 21st. Which has been decided today.

One week ago, the Center had given permission to start studies from Std. 9 to 12 on a partial basis
In this regard, a week ago, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for partial commencement of studies from Std 9 to Std 12. Following which the study was allowed to start in the classes from 21st September. However, the ministry said the school is free to decide whether to start studying there.

Schools closed in the state from March 16
Earlier, at the time of Corona's entry into Gujarat, i.e. on March 15, the state government had decided to close all schools, colleges and educational institutions in Gujarat for two weeks from March 16, i.e. till March 29. However the board examinations were kept unchanged. The school-vacation was then extended as Corona became uncontrollable. Thus, schools have been closed for about 6 months.

Consideration to reduce the curriculum by the Department of Education
Now, if school starts after Diwali, it will be impossible to complete a two-semester course in one session. So the state education department is also planning to reduce the curriculum in that situation. The curriculum will be reduced based on how many days of study the students get, the sources said. However, this cannot be decided at present. This will be decided on the basis of the remaining days of study after the commencement of schools.
70 percent of parents are not ready to send their children to school until the corona vaccine is found
More than 70 per cent of parents are unwilling to send their children to school, according to the state's leading school administrators. Online education is expected to continue until the corona vaccine arrives. Even school administrators did not want to take any risk by starting schools in a hurry. The opinion of the parents is clear on the issue of calling the children of Std. 9 to 12 to school from September 21.

Most of the schools asked the parents through social media whether they want to send their children to school or not. In response, most parents have asked to continue online education. Archit Bhatt, president of the Association of Leading Private Schools, said parents were in favor of starting schools only after the corona vaccine was introduced. Many schools will call Std. 10 and 12 students to the school and explain the guidance and difficult issues. But even if the guardian will allow.
